Pain killers

Pain is the warning signal that lets us know when we’re injured or ill. Some extraordinary people can’t feel pain at all. Scientists have discovered this is due to a genetic mutation that that means that no pain signals reach the brain. Could replicating the effects of this mutation result in the ultimate pain killer?
